The work „weight of a thread“ consists of a knitted piece of fabric, in which a small loudspeaker and its cables are woven into. The cloth is fixed with small nails into the wall. Over the speaker a composition plays which – among others – is made up out of a distorted audio recording of the knitting process.
The work was presented as a part of the group exhibition „WACKELKONTAKTE. Between Interference and Resonance – a Soundart Exhibition“, 05.07. – 19.07.26, curated by Farah Wind and Helin Korkmaz, at FUHRWERKSWAAGE Cologne (Sürth).
